Reportable and Communicable Diseases
The Eastern Ontario Health Unit has a mandate to decrease the risk of morbidity and mortality associated with infectious diseases. According to the Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), health care providers must report, to their local health unit, all cases of communicable or reportable disease.
