COVID-19 Vaccine for Children Aged 5 to 11

Health Canada approved Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine for children aged 5 to 11 on November 19, 2021. The EOHU is ready to begin administering the vaccine to children in this age group as soon as it receives its vaccine supply from the government of Ontario.

Children aged 5 to 11 across Ontario are eligible to schedule a COVID-19 vaccine appointment through the COVID-19 vaccination portal. Individuals who require assistance with booking can call the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900. If you need assistance or special accommodations, you may also call the EOHU at 1-800-267-7120.

The EOHU will also hold walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics at six schools across the region between December 4 and 18, 2021. These clinics are strictly for children aged 5 to 11 who live or attend school in the 5 counties, Cornwall or Akwesasne, as well as their parents, guardians and household members.
