Do Not Drink Water Advisory

Issued: When authorities suspect or have confirmed the presence of unacceptable levels of chemical contaminants in the drinking water supply that can pose health risks if ingested.

Instructions: DO NOT drink water from the affected water supply or use it for food preparation. USE an alternate source of safe drinking water, such as bottled water.

Why: Boiling will not remove contaminants.

You can still: Take a shower (except toddlers and young children), wash clothes.

Example: Presence of chemical contaminants in the drinking water supply.
