The Eastern Ontario Health Unit is currently accepting applications for the following positions:
- Speech-Language Pathologist (Bilingual) - 1 Permanent Full-Time Bilingual position for the Prescott-Russell Territory
- Dentist - one position for 2 days per week for the Cornwall office
- Public Health Inspector - 1 Permanent Full-Time position for the Prescott-Russell Territory (Ontario)
- Public Health Nurse (Temporary Full-Time) - 1 Temporary Full-Time position for the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry territory (until October 24, 2025)

Speech-Language Pathologist (Bilingual)
Location: 1 Permanent Full-Time Bilingual position for the Prescott-Russell Territory
Salary: $ 75,712.00 to $ 86,522.80 annually
Description of Job:
The individual organizes, prepares, and delivers both in-person and virtual speech and language pathology assessment/treatment and education programs to preschool children and their family/caregivers.
Qualifications:
- A Master’s Degree in speech-language pathology.
- Eligibility for CASLPO membership.
- Experience working with young children and their family/caregivers.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and French.
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence and the use of an automobile.

Dentist
Location: one position for 2 days per week for the Cornwall office
Salary: current wage of $1,200.00 per day
Description of Job:
The Dentist will offer clinical dental services to children and adults, including seniors in a public health dental clinic. They will work in a team environment and provide services for several public funded dental programs for low-income residents.
Qualifications:
- Must be registered with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario as a Dentist.
- Must have experience working with children.
- Good communication skills in both official languages
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and the use of an automobile.

Public Health Inspector
Location: 1 Permanent Full-Time position for the Prescott-Russell Territory (Ontario)
Salary: $ 71,507.80 to $ 80,753.40 annually
Description of Job:
Working as a member of a Public Health Team, the incumbent will be responsible to carry out inspections, investigations, education in matters related to community health protection, primarily on food safety, water quality, health hazards prevention and emergency preparedness; and to enforce the provisions of the Health Protection and Promotion Act.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health or equivalent.
- Current certificate in Public Health Inspection (Canada).
- Self motivated and able to complete assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to respond to varied and shared tasks associated with working in a positive team environment.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to participate effectively in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the use of an automobile.
- Good communication skills in both English and French is required.

Public Health Nurse (Temporary Full-Time)
Location: 1 Temporary Full-Time position for the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry territory (until October 24, 2025)
Salary: $36.91 to $48.44 hourly plus 12% in lieu of benefits plus 8% in lieu of vacation
Description of Job:
The individual will be responsible for various initiatives within the Family Health and Vaccine Preventable Diseases programs.
Qualifications:
- Ontario Certificate of competence for the current year.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
- Demonstrated skills in and/or knowledge of community development, social marketing, health education, behaviour change education and public policy.
- Certificate in C.P.R. is an asset.
- Good communications skills in both official languages.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and the use of an automobile.
