Description of Job:
The individuals will work as part of the COVID-19 response team and will also be responsible for various initiatives within Healthy Growth and Development, Immunization and Infectious and Communicable Disease Prevention and Control.

Qualifications:

  • Ontario Certificate of competence for the current year.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
  • Demonstrated skills in and/or knowledge of community development, social marketing, health education, behaviour change education and public policy.
  • Certificate in C.P.R. is an asset.

Systems Support Officer (PR)

Location: Casselman, ON

Salary: $57,675.80 to $65,156.00 annually

Description of Job:
The individual will assist with the installation and maintenance of information and communication technologies in the Health Unit as well as assist with the education and training of staff as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in a program dedicated to computer science.
  • Excellent knowledge of all Windows based software, Microsoft Access and Visual Basic; Windows Designation would be an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu).
  • Excellent knowledge of office organization and function.
  • Knowledge of programs and services offered by the Eastern Ontario Health Unit.
  • Good communication skills in English and French considered an asset.
  • Ability to quickly learn systems operations and various software.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide instruction.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s licence and use of a vehicle.

Location: Casual and Temporary Part-Time positions in the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry and Prescott-Russell Territories

Salary: $26.00 to $29.39 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits plus 6% in lieu of vacation pay

Description of Job:
Individuals will support the Eastern Ontario Health Unit in its response to the COVID 19 pandemic.

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary diploma as a Registered Practical Nurse.
  • Ontario certificate of competence for the current year (CNO).
  • Experience working with children.
  • Knowledge of infection and prevention control.
  • A minimum of 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Immunization experience is considered an asset.
  • Good communication skills in both official languages preferred, however unilingual candidates may be considered.

COVID Maintenance, Material Management and General Support

Location: Casual positions in the SD&G and Prescott-Russell territories

Salary: $23.16 to $26.17 per hour with 12% in lieu of benefits and 6% in lieu of vacation pay.

Description of Job:
The individuals will be responsible for Supporting the day-to-day operations of the EOHU while dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic. Primary functions will be to facilitate the transfer of resources between offices and to help support material management.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate with relevant experience
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety Regulations and environmental issues.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of safe material handling practices and material safety data sheets.
  • Demonstrated basic level word processing skills.
  • Ability to lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 25 kgs and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment.
  • Available to work emergency and overtime as required.
  • Good communication skills in both English and French considered an asset.
  • Must possess a valid driver's licence and the use of an automobile.
