Communications Officer (Cornwall)

Location: 1 Temporary (6 month) Full-Time position in Cornwall, Ontario

Salary: $29.85 to 33.72 per hour plus 12% in lieu of benefits plus 6% in lieu of vacation pay

Description of Job:
The individual will develop information and promotional resources and advertising and marketing strategies. They will build and maintain effective relationships with the media.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, journalism or related field with pertinent experience.
• Excellent knowledge of social media and social media strategies.
• Excellent aptitude working within a team, a committee or a group.
• Excellent critical analysis skills.
• Excellent communication and writing skills in English.
• French language skills considered an asset.
• Good computer knowledge and skills, in particular Microsoft Office.
• Must possess a valid driver's licence and the use of an automobile.

Location: 1 Permanent Part-time (.6 FTE) Public Health Nurse for the Stormont, Dundas and Glenngarry territory.

Salary: $34.44 to $45.20 / hour with 12% in lieu of benefits & 8% vacation pay.

Description of Job:
The individual will be responsible for various initiatives within Healthy Growth and Development, Immunization and Infectious and Communicable Disease Prevention and Control.

Qualifications:

  • Ontario Certificate of competence for the current year.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
  • Demonstrated skills in and/or knowledge of community development, social marketing, health education, behaviour change education and public policy.
  • Certificate in C.P.R. is an asset.
  • Good communications skills in both official languages.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the use of an automobile.
