COVID 19 – Public Health Nurses

Location: Temporary Full-Time positions in SDG and P-R territories (beginning immediately until December 30, 2020)

Salary: $35.13 to $46.10 hourly with 12% in lieu of benefits and 8% vacation pay

Description of Job:
The individuals will work as part of the COVID-19 response team and will also be responsible for various initiatives within Healthy Growth and Development, Immunization and Infectious and Communicable Disease Prevention and Control.

Qualifications:

  • Ontario Certificate of competence for the current year.
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
  • Demonstrated skills in and/or knowledge of community development, social marketing, health education, behaviour change education and public policy.
  • Certificate in C.P.R. is an asset.
  • Good communications skills in both official languages.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and the use of an automobile.

Temporary Support Clerks

Location: 3 Temporary Full-Time Support Clerks in the Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Territory (Cornwall, Winchester and Alexandria) until December 31, 2020

1 Temporary Full-Time Support Clerk in the Prescott-Russell Territory (Casselman, Hawkesbury and Rockland) until December 31, 2020

Salary: $23.16 to $26.17 per hour (plus 12% in lieu of benefits and 6% in lieu of vacation)

Description of Job:
The incumbent will provide general clerical support to a group of public health staff under the direction of a supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 graduate with a minimum of one year experience.
  • One year post secondary training in a program dedicated to the development of clerical skills preferred.
  • Good communication skills in both official languages.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Windows, keyboarding skills).
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and the use of an automobile.

Salary: $ 68,049.80 to $ 76,858.60 annually

Description of Job:
Working as a member of a Public Health Team, the incumbent will be responsible to carry out inspections, investigations, education in matters related to community health protection, primarily on food safety, water quality and health hazards prevention; and to enforce the provisions of the Health Protection and Promotion Act.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor degree in Environmental Health or equivalent.
  • Certificate in Public Health Inspection.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's licence and the use of an automobile.
  • Good communication skills in English and French.
