#EOHUeats - Easy Bean Dip
Recipe:
Prep time: 10 minutes Cook time: 0min Makes approx. 2 cups
Beans (white, romano or black) drained and rinced -1 x 19oz can
Canola oil - 3 tbsp
Lemon or lime juice - 1-2 tbsp
Each salt and pepper - 1 tsp
Finely chopped onion - 2 tbsp
OR garlic, finely minced - 1 clove
1. Puree (or mash) beans with oil, lemon/lime juice, salt and pepper. You can use a food processor (or just a fork).
2. Mix in onions (or garlic).
3. Enjoy with vegetable crudités, whole grain crackers or tortilla pieces.
TIP: Pulses, such as beans, chickpeas and lentils, are great alternatives to meat and excellent sources of fibre, protein and folic acid! Use this dip with vegetable crudités, whole grain crackers or tortilla pieces.
